How can I best care for my beaded jewelry?

While these pieces are sturdier than they may appear, they are still delicate and should be treated with love and care. Here are a few things that I would suggest in order to keep them in their best condition:

-Allow all lotions, hair products, and perfumes to fully dry before putting on your jewelry.

-Remove jewelry before swimming or bathing, and generally avoid submerging it in water. If this does occur, gently pat it dry with a soft cloth, and hang or lay flat allowing it to dry completely.

-Please avoid exercising or engaging in strenuous activity while wearing your jewelry, especially any that may result in snagging or tearing.

-Over time, you may notice some colors of beads have changed. This typically only happens to beads with metallic finishes, for example gold beads may appear rusted or oxidized. This is a completely normal part or regular wear and is beautiful in its own way, but you can help to slow this process by keeping your jewelry in a dry, airtight container away from direct sunlight, as well as following my previous recommendations. Please note that changing of bead color does not qualify as defective product, and will not be subject to reimbursement or replacement.

To summarize, while these handmade pieces are stronger than they seem, they are precious pieces of wearable art (and made of glass), and should always be worn mindfully. Thank you for reading!

What materials do you use?

I primarily use Miyuki Delica and Toho Treasures glass seed beads. All pieces are finished with either 24k gold plated, 14k gold filled, or sterling silver components, and are nickel free and hypoallergenic.

What should I expect for shipping?

I am a one-woman show here at 12th House Moon, so please allow me 1-5 days to process your order. Your patience is greatly appreciated and I always do everything I can to get your items shipped in a timely manner :) Domestic orders typically arrive within one week of shipment. International orders are trickier to predict, but will generally arrive within the month. Please remember that I have no control over a package once it is in the postal system, and shipping delays due to the carrier are completely out of my hands. However I will of course provide you with a tracking number and do what is within my power to alleviate any shipping stress.

What happens if my package is lost in transit or stolen?

Ugh, that is simply the worst. Unfortunately, I am not able to offer refunds or replacements for missing items. Please make sure you are providing a secure, carrier-verified address at checkout.

What happens if my jewelry gets damaged in shipping?

Oh no! If your order arrives damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery and we can work out a replacement or repair plan. I have never had a piece get damaged in transit and I take great care while packaging your orders, but there’s a first time for everything!

I broke my jewelry :(

Sometimes, no matter how careful we are, s*** happens. No one has needed to take me up on it yet, but I will happily do what I can to repair your piece. Just send me an email with photos of the damage, and I will assess what can be done (if anything), provide you with a price estimate for the repair, and an approximate time frame in which I will be able to fix it. Please be prepared to pay for outgoing and return shipping, as well as the agreed upon price of the repair. Payment for the return shipping and repair will be required up front. Please do NOT ship your jewelry to me until I give you the okay to do so. I will provide the shipping address once the repair invoice is paid. I stand by all of my work and want you to be happy with your piece for as long as possible!

I lost an earring :(

Such a bummer! But don’t fret, I can often replicate a piece at half the cost of the original (because in this case you’re only buying one earring, not a pair). Please email me with the original order number and pictures of your jewelry, and we can work out the cost of the replacement piece plus shipping, and the timeframe in which I can complete it. This timeframe is subject to the availability of materials, such as the colors of beads needed.

Do you issue refunds or accept returns and exchanges?

I am unable to issue refunds or accept returns and exchanges at this time, so please make sure you are totally in love with your jewelry by reading all product descriptions, carefully viewing all photos, and reviewing care instructions before purchasing. If I've made a mistake in your order, please send me an email and I will do everything I can to make it right.

Do you do custom work?

I am not currently taking on custom projects, but that may change in the future so stay tuned!

I have more questions!

No problem! Send me an email and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
